CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL - MANCHESTER

Conveyancing Paralegal / Assistant - The Manchester-based Property team of this leading law firm is currently recruiting for a support role in their conveyancing department. The team deals with both residential and commercial work and the firm is looking for someone to support and work with a senior fee earner and a Partner.

  • Reports to: Head of Conveyancing
  • Previous Experience: Ideally 12 months experience in a conveyancing-related role. The role relates to assisting fee earners with searches and other aspects of a sale / purchase file. It also involves assisting on post completion matters and dealing with the land registry, so any experience in these areas would be highly beneficial. Any experience of drafting reports would also be very useful.

Our client is a leading full-service law firm with one of the most respected Conveyancing departments in the North West.

They also receive work from an enviable list of Conveyancing referrers who operate throughout the country as well as dealing with the firm's high-net-worth clients. The Conveyancing team, provides a national Conveyancing service as well as a more localised offering to its Manchester client base.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity has arisen due to the fact that one of the senior fee earners in the team requires particular support. The successful applicant will therefore be working directly with an experienced lawyer, which in turn will be excellent for career progression.

  • Experience drafting reports on title and conducting searches;
  • Experience of commercial as well as residential leases would be ideal;
  • undertaking various post completion tasks;
  • liaising with the Land Registry; and
  • arranging meetings and liaising with contacts and third parties.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

This is a fast-paced department dealing with a high volume of Conveyancing transactions. Candidates need to be highly organised, professional and have excellent communication skills.

Candidates must be capable of working quickly and accurately and possess a real interest in Residential Conveyancing and a desire to grow and develop a career within the Conveyancing Team.
