Description
In this role you will be the lead legal adviser and will support the Senior M&A Counsel and General Counsel in M&A activity.
Key responsibilities:
- Legal and risk management advice together with project transactional management leading and supporting (where appropriate) in relation to acquisitions, divestments, investments and joint ventures
- Supporting acquisition integration projects;
- Supporting divestment separation projects;
- Advising upon and supporting corporate re-structuring projects
- Supporting company incorporations; and obtaining external legal advice on foreign jurisdictional issues and specialist areas
- Continuously developing best practice and constantly seeking ways to improve corporate governance and risk management in M&A execution.
- Working with other EMEA, UK & I lawyers on M&A projects.
- Working closely with Corporate Development and Strategy teams as well as functional leaders.
Profile
You will be:
- A qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE
- Experience of Corporate work
- Desire to work In House
We're looking for someone who has proven experience working with corporate/company law. It would put you in great stead if you have any of the following experience:
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Joint ventures
- Investments
- Corporate re-structuring
- Project management
Cross border transactional experience would be a bonus but is not essential.
