Job Summary
CRA Consulting are looking to recruit for a new exciting opportunity with a well-known legal firm with a presence across Yorkshire. I am looking to find an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Fellow of Cilex handle a portfolio of claimant serious injury claims for clients, to generate fee income and contribute to the general success of the department.
The caseload is predominantly RTA based and it is anticipated you will deal with cases valued up to £50,000. You will be responsible for working on a small, unique and complexed case load from cradle to grave.
Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from a traumatic and life changing event.
Regular communication and face to face meetings with your client.
Instructions and meetings with a multi-disciplinary team of experts for example, medical experts, case managers, care experts, architects, forensic accountants, counsel.
Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation and quantum.
Drafting documents including statements, pleadings and schedules of loss.
Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation.
Optimising your client's settlement.
Ability to work with a task based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.
Raising awareness of the department and developing your profile. We have close links with APIL, Headway, and SIA, you will be involved in supporting these organisations with networking and business development. For example, reporting cases, preparing articles and testimonials.
You will have:
Proven track record of dealing with serious injury claims.
Desire to develop your professional profile and that of your firm within the personal injury field, and establish links with associated bodies for example Headway, SIA and APIL.
Team Player and acts as a role model to your colleagues, working together to achieve business and team objectives, mentoring more junior staff where appropriate.
Maintains a positive attitude, self-motivated and uses own initiative.
Robust - able to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations whilst still achieving objectives.
Takes opportunities to develop and stretch yourself, and be passionate about developing your career in personal injury.
