Corporate Finance Lawyer (Private Equity) - Major offshore firm - Cayman Islands

Opening for a Corporate Finance Associate (with Private Equity experience), in the Cayman office of a large, multi-jurisdictional offshore law firm. Promises high-quality work, an attractive salary and a decent work/life balance.

Details

Joining a prestigious team you will be part of a broad corporate group but will have a primary focus on corporate finance, particularly within the private equity sector. You will work closely with PE funds, banks and financial institutions, providing the Cayman Islands expertise on high-value international deals. You will find yourself handling less of the long, ongoing documentation that is commonplace onshore and will instead be juggling multiple deals, each of which requires specialist input on complex points, making this an ideal move for someone who enjoys client facing and fast-paced workload.

Requirements

  • Mid-senior level Associate, probably in the 3-5 years’ pqe range. (3 years’ pqe is required as a minimum in order to secure a work permit in the Cayman Islands).
  • Corporate experience with exposure to corporate finance/private equity work gained with a leading City/equivalent firm.
  • Admitted in the UK or equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction.

Salary and application information

  • Salary will be dependent on experience. As a guideline, we would expect it to pay somewhere in the range of USD140k to USD160k base salary, tax-free with a full benefits package and a good relocation allowance.
  • Interviews are via videoconference and can usually be scheduled to fit around your working day.
  • If successful we would anticipate a start date of 4-6 months from application.
