Funds Lawyer – fund formation, operation and regulation practice - Major offshore firm - Cayman Islands

The Cayman office of this global offshore law firm is looking for a corporate/funds lawyer to join a growing team. High-quality international work combined with a fantastic lifestyle outside of the office. 

Details

You will be joining a well-established team, advising a strong client base on the entire life-cycle of Cayman investment funds. The workload will span everything from fund formation and licensing through financing and transactional work and including all regulatory considerations. It promises a high level of exposure to clients and will suit someone who enjoys business development as well as being technically strong. Opportunities for career progression are strong.

Requirements

  • Associate, likely to be in the 3-6 years’ pqe range. (3 years’ pqe is required as a minimum in order to secure a work permit in the Cayman Islands).
  • Strong funds experience or a corporate lawyer with a genuine interest in building a career in the funds sector. Experience from a leading City/equivalent firm is essential.
  • Admitted in the UK or equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction.

Salary and application information

  • Salary will be dependent on experience. As a guideline, we would expect it to pay somewhere in the range of USD150k to USD175k base salary, tax-free. There is a bonus scheme, full benefits package and a good relocation allowance.
  • Interviews are via videoconference and can usually be scheduled to fit around your working day.
  • If successful we would anticipate a start date of 4-6 months from application.
