Property Lawyer/Real Estate Lawyer - Major offshore firm - Cayman Islands

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced commercial property/real estate lawyer to move offshore with the Cayman Islands office of a leading multinational offshore law firm.

Details

You will take on a broad practice that spans the entire commercial property remit. You will be advising a blue chip client base on the financing and development of some of the highest-profile and highest-value commercial projects in the market, as well as advising on the buying, selling and leasing of commercial real estate. You can expect lots of client contact so strong communication skills are essential. Taking a lead role and managing more junior colleagues, this is ideal for an ambitious lawyer who is ready to step up to the next level.

Requirements

  • Associate, likely to have at least 5 years’ pqe. (3 years’ pqe is required as a minimum in order to secure a work permit in the Cayman Islands).
  • Strong experience across a broad range of commercial property/real estate work gained with a leading UK/equivalent firm is essential. Excellent drafting/technical skills are a given.
  • Admitted in the UK or equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction.

Salary and application information

  • Salary will be dependent on experience, somewhere in the range of USD160k to USD200k base salary, tax-free. Full benefits package and a good relocation allowance.
  • Interviews are via videoconference and can usually be scheduled to fit around your working day.
  • If successful we would anticipate a start date of 4-6 months from application.
