SENIOR BANKING AND FINANCE LAWYER – LEADING INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM – SOUTH AFRICA

Our client is a leading international law firm who are seeking to appoint a senior banking and finance lawyer to join their office in South Africa. The team advise on a range of banking matters, and cover the full spectrum of financial transactions. Further to that they act upon a number of bespoke instructions regarding the establishment of banks and financial institutions in regional and international markets. Working with the highest calibre clients, the team you would join are instructed by market leading syndicate lenders, building societies, investment banks and underwriters. They are also reputable for being top tier on legal 500 in the financial sector.

The team are looking for someone with 5+ years experience who has general banking expertise with a wide exposure in all banking matters i.e; Acquisition & leveraged finance, Asset backed lending, corporate banking, Emerging markets finance, financial services regulation, Payments, Project finance, Real estate finance, Trade & supply chain finance. You must also have a detailed grasp of complex legal concepts, excellent drafting skills, ability to see issues from a commercial perspective and able to communicate complex legal advice to clients effectively. You will be representing investment banks and other financial institutions in their capacities as agents, arrangers and lenders on some of the most complex financing across the globe.
