Legal Counsel

A leading innovative business with strong brand recognition is seeking to recruit a Commercial Legal Counsel to join the team at their head office in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Legal, the Legal Counsel will provide commercial advice to both sides of the business. A key element to the role will be the reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts to include:

• Outsourcing agreements
• Partnership agreements
• Marketing/advertising agreements

You will also be working closely with key internal stakeholders, offering commercial and legal advice to the business.

Candidate Requirements

The In House Counsel will ideally have the following traits:

• Around 6 years’ PQE
• Background gained either in-house or at a leading private practice
• A proven track record of advising on commercial matters – specifically commercial contracts
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy as part of a dynamic in house team

On Offer

The successful lawyer will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary. The contract is set out as permanent and full time but the business will consider part time and home working.
