A superb opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join a global leisure business in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
About the Role
The Legal Counsel will provide commercial legal advice to the business and its brands across the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the UK Head of Legal, this is an extremely varied role with responsibilities encompassing the following:
- Negotiating, drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts
- Advising the business on consumer law, compliance and regulatory issues
- Assisting the Head of Legal with Corporate and M&A issues
- IP
- Assisting with company secretarial duties
- Reviewing new initiatives from a risk perspective
- Liaising with external counsel on key projects
Candidate Requirements
As In House Counsel, you will ideally have:
- 2-5 years’ PQE in a commercial setting
- Strong commercial contracts experience
- Any GDPR or Corporate-related experience (highly beneficial)
- The determination to take on a broad remit of work
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills
Salary and Contract
- £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
- Permanent contract, full time basis
