An exciting opportunity has arisen for an associate to join an expanding city firm in their Non-Contentious Regulatory practice.
The firm’s regulatory practice has grown to be one of the best outside the Magic Circle and advises both big name clients and start-up companies within the Fintech and Financial Services sectors. As such, the desired candidate will have strong commercial acumen, broad legal experience within these sectors and strong interpersonal skills. The department doubled its revenue last year and is expecting another strong year, therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running.
This is an excellent opportunity for an associate with 1-3 PQE to join a small, dynamic team with a constantly expanding workload. The firm advises a number of investment and payment services companies, alternative investment funds, peer-to-peer lenders, crowdfunding platforms, and reinsurers/insuretech.
A recent new joiner has been impressed by the quality and variety of work associated with the firm’s innovative client base. This role will not involve repeat or panel work for large financial institutions. This is an opportunity for an individual who wants to work on complex, bespoke issues at the forefront of these rapidly evolving sectors.
The firm is successful and growing steadily, through hiring associates who buy into their culture of team work. The firm is also keen to promote entrepreneurial spirit so someone with real ambitions to progress quickly will not be hampered. Indeed, the firm is keen to reward and promote strong performers and does so on merit rather than a specific PQE level or other opaque criteria.
The firm has a very positive and collegiate working environment and, as such, is successful in attracting associates and partners from much larger City firms who want to do high quality work in addition to having a healthier work/life balance.
