Devereux, a leading set of barristers’ chambers in the UK with 53 lawyers offering a wealth of expertise across a wide range of practice areas, are looking for a senior Receptionist to join the team for a full-time, permanent role in London. This Senior Receptionist role demands a professional and proactive approach, combining client-facing excellence and exceptional support to barristers and colleagues. 

Responsibilities of your new role

As an integral part of the Business Services Team, you will represent Chambers as the first point of contact to all visitors, clients and callers. In this Receptionist role you will:

• Supervise, train and mentor the junior receptionist
• Answer and transfer callers, taking detailed messages when necessary
• Handle all arrangements relating to the conference suite, including allocating conference rooms, arranging catering and ensuring IT and AV requirements are met
• Ensure that facilities checks are carried out and client areas are maintained to high standards
• Assist with marketing functions before, during or after normal working hours as required
• Ensure the smooth execution of annual special events

Candidate profile

We are looking for a dynamic and friendly Receptionist who demonstrates:

• Senior level reception experience within a professional services environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• The skills to work to a number of deadlines simultaneously, and manage your workload accordingly.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
