A Senior Planning Lawyer is required to join a commercial Local Authority in London for an initial 6 month period, with a view to extend thereafter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a supportive team who offer excellent administrative support within a busy local authority. This role would suit a candidate who is confident, commercially aware and enthusiastic. A candidate who can think on their feet and has an excellent working knowledge of recent legislation, is essential.

The successful candidate will be dealing with very complex and high profile planning matters. Also dealing with:

  • High value planning obligations and highway agreements
  • Complex s on large developments
  • Planning committees
  • Judicial reviews in the High court
  • Planning enquiries
  • Lawful Development Certificates and knowledge of CLUED and other relevant statuary frameworks
  • Planning permission matters
  • Proving technical legal advice in-house and ad hoc advice on routine planning matters
  • Preparing witness statements and instructing barristers

The local authority are happy to accommodate the successful candidate with a level of flexibility around working hours if required. The office is easy to reach and is situated within walking distance from most transport links.
