An opportunity with a Legal 500 ranked Corporate practice is hiring a Solicitor with 4 - 6 years PQE.

This mid sized City firm exceed all expectations of what a firm of their size can handle. They deliver top quality legal services to clients with a far reaching International client base.

The Firm

This specialist firm specialise in working with SME listed public companies, entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses.

They are now ranked in the Legal 500 as a big plater in the UK across M&A, Capital Markets, Sport and Private Client work.

With a strong leadership team, their hands on Partners are supportive, but also give their teams the flexibility and space to manage their own caseloads. The firm is also encouraging of any Solicitors that want to grow and develop their skillset and being a smaller firm, there is real opportunity to climb the ranks, without the need to join a very long queue as you find with some of the larger City firms!

The Role

This team advise a range of high end clients including SMEs, growth companies, entrepreneurs and family run businesses. They also work with companies listed on the AIM and standard London Stock Exchange markets.

Regular work includes advice on acquisitions, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, venture capital, ECM and DCM (including IPOs and secondary fundraising), corporate restructuring and corporate governance matters.

The team are looking to hire either, young lawyers who have Natural Resource (particularly Oil & Gas) sector experience who would like to move into Capital Markets work, or Capital Markets Lawyers who already have experience. They are a flexible, entrepreneurial team that are prepared to widen the net to find the right fit.

The Requirements

  • 4-6 years PQE with a London based middle to large law firm
  • Must be qualified in England & Wales as a Solicitor
  • Strong academics, with a 2:1 or better from a leading University
  • Capital Markets experience would be ideal, but the firm will also consider young lawyers with Energy sector experience that have an interest in Corporate/Capital Markets.
  • You will have a determined attitude, be a team player and comfortable in client facing situations

This is a rare opportunity with very good prospects for promotion in the future, to work for a high end specialist that offer a genuine alternative to the City heavyweights, whilst not compromising on the quality of work.
