A City practice is hiring a Corporate Associate with 1-6 years PQE to do not just your typical M&A work but to work in a team where you will be fully immersed in helping IP-rich businesses realise their plans for national and international expansion.

The Role
You will have experience or a strong desire to work with entrepreneurial businesses assisting with all the legal requirements of running early stage seed and venture capital fund raising campaigns as well as other related matters.
This market leading department work with Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, Syndicates and Institutions, linking them with funding options that match their business aims - usually emerging tech companies, universities and research organisations.
For more experienced Associates applying the role will also come with the responsibility of mentoring junior members of the department.
To be successful in this role you will be acting almost as an inhouse legal support to clients (frequently working in their offices) playing a key role in their business, advising on a wide range of matters including Intellectual Property to Share Options, assessing & mitigating risk and closing deals.
The department are looking for rain makers, who are keen to jump straight in to business development and networking and in return they will support through providing lots of client exposure, access to very interesting work and market leading training & career development to help you realise your own career aspirations.
Requirements:
- You will be an ambitious Associate with 1-6 years PQE in a similar role, or a keen interest to move into this type of work (with excellent credentials and experience working at a City of London law firm)
- You will have excellent technical knowledge and proven experience in business development
- You should be keen to engage in networking and build your own client base
- You will have strong interpersonal skills and be a team player
- The salary will be based upon experience, with a fantastic benefits package
