In-House Counsel

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Property Lawyer to take on an In-House Counsel role at a successful services business in Cheshire.

Role and Responsibilities

As part of a small, close-knit team the In-House Counsel will support the business of a range of deals including development work, residential property matters and commercial projects.

Key duties will include:

• Supporting the business in property finance deals
• Sending out new instructions to external solicitors
• Reporting to underwriters
• Title checks
• Preparing security documentation
• Wayleave and servitude agreements

Candidate Requirements

The In-House Counsel will ideally have:

• At least 2 years’ PQE
• Experience of both commercial and residential property – possibly as part of a recent training contract
• Knowledge of bridging finance or development work (advantageous but not essential)
• The ability to integrate into a friendly, open and fast-paced business
• Strong communication skills
• Commercial acumen and business development incentive
