Finance Lawyer

A great opportunity has surfaced for a Finance Lawyer to join the Banking group of a global firm based in London.

Role Description

The successful lawyer will be part of the firm’s renowned Acquisition and Leveraged Finance practice. The team regularly acts for direct lending funds as well as banks, and is a market leader in advising on structures such as unitranche and first/last out.

As Finance Lawyer, your duties will likely include:

• Advising both lenders and borrowers (including financial sponsors) on the financing of domestic and cross-border acquisitions, particularly leveraged acquisitions
• Dealing with transactions to include private equity sponsored management buy-outs, corporate acquisitions and public buyouts
• Advising on refinancings and recapitalisations

Candidate Requirements

The successful Finance Lawyer will likely have the following attributes:

• 3-6 years’ PQE gained at a top tier firm / bank
• First rate experience in Leveraged finance / acquisition
• Outstanding technical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Ability to build relationships with both clients and colleagues
• Ability to work well in a team
