Legal Counsel

An entrepreneurial business in London are looking for a junior level Legal Counsel to join them in Central London for a full-time, permanent role. This position represents an opportunity to join a small in-house legal team advising on a broad range of interesting corporate and commercial matters with global reach.

Responsibilities of your new role

Your core duties as Legal Counsel will include:

• Reporting into the Head of Legal and working closely with the Business Development Director to help the company achieve its ambitions
• Working on complex, international joint venture and global M&A transactions
• Drafting and negotiating equity documents for investment rounds in companies, specifically in the EdTech space
• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of a wide variety of corporate and commercial contracts
• Working on key projects for the company and negotiation of key terms
• Advising on various legal issues arising in the day-to-day business functions of the Company and its philanthropic foundation

Candidate requirements

The business seeks an In-House Counsel capable of demonstrating:

• At least 18 months of PQE
• Strong corporate M&A experience
• Drafting and negotiating skills
• Good understanding of and interest in tech is desirable
