A Construction Lawyer is required to take on a senior In House Counsel role within a market leading construction and regeneration business in Staffordshire.
The Role
The successful In House Counsel will provide comprehensive legal advice to the Group whilst working closely with colleagues throughout. As the sole Lawyer in the business, your role will involve:
- Advising the business on a range of construction and real estate matters
- Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of construction documentation
- Liaising with external Solicitors to manage site acquisitions and plot sales
- Reporting to Directors and advising the business on commercial strategy and risk
- Having oversight and control of external legal spend
Candidate Requirements
The ideal lawyer is likely to have:
- Over 6 years’ PQE
- Experience negotiating and drafting construction contracts
- Experience of appointing a professional team
- Commercial awareness with the ability to control cost
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain rapports
Salary, Contract and Benefits
- £70,000 - £90,000 per annum
- Permanent, full time contract
