Talent Development Manager
Liverpool
Permanent, Full-time
Salary up to £45,000 dependant on experience
Are you interested in managing a global Law firms learning and development team?
Interlink Recruitment are looking for an experienced candidate with learning and development experience to oversee day to day legal and skills training, other development initiatives and project work.
You will be working with a delegating to talent development team members and overseeing the training budget for relevant practice groups.
Ideally you will have experience using Learning Management Systems.
Some travel to attend events and away days may be required, but this will only be on occasion.
Role Overview:
- Design and deliver the firms blended learning strategy
- Responsible for driving efficiency of working practices and reporting through the firm's Learning Management System
- Design of skills training sessions and development events/programmes for all groups of staff
- Sourcing, liaising with and giving feedback to external providers
- Support of the coaching provision and internal mentoring programme.
- Delivery of the firm's new joiners' programme, including ensuring that we deliver this appropriately on an international basis
- Use of psychometric tests and personality instruments, including individual feedback
- Delivering development centre feedback and writing reports
- Guiding staff on personal development plans
- Support the Talent Development Business Partner in the ongoing development of a suite of partner development programmes
- Participation in Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) group to implement Knowledge and Learning initiatives
- Consideration and approval of vocational training requests.
- Training Needs Analysis and Evaluation of ongoing training programmes.
- Project management of cross-firm projects, liaising with other Business Services departments and lawyer groups as required.
- Overseeing the Talent Development Skills budget for relevant practice groups and business services departments, including liaison with key stakeholders.
Person Specification:
- Strong previous learning and development experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Excellent written communication skills
- Client focused and responsive to client needs
- Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate both internally and externally
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish
- Committed and enthusiastic approach to work with the ability to motivate others
- An innovative and flexible approach coupled with an ability to work under pressure and to prioritise effectively
- Strong team player, able to work effectively within a small team and the larger Talent department
- Attention to detail, accuracy and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
