Junior Security Analyst - Liverpool

This position is aimed at someone in the earlier stages of their experience in IT/cyber security although experienced individuals are welcome too. Brief list of role responsibilities:
- Utilising corporate security tools and responding to alerts
- Ensuring robust vulnerability scanning and analysis
- Administering anti-malware/endpoint security management tools
- Collaborating with team members on information security risk assessments
- Keeping up-to-date with IT Security developments and responding to new threats proactively.
- Producing useful and informative monthly reports which include insightful KPIs/KRIs
- Investigating and responding to security-related support tickets
- Reviewing system change requests to maintain adherence to internal policies, compliance obligations and security requirements.
- Assisting the development of security monitoring tools and alerts
- Maintaining security documentation to ensure it accurately reflects current implementations.

- Previous Experience: Prior experience in deploying cyber security processes, software, protocols etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Information and systems security are understandably a high priority for Law firms. We are looking for a meticulous and tenacious candidate with a good understanding of IT security/cyber security who is looking to grow their knowledge within a highly successful business. As well as exhibiting the highest standards of integrity and being committed to excellence with good communication skills, we are looking for:
- A good understanding of cyber security products including Anti-Virus, Firewalls, IDS and Group policy including the ability to install, configure and maintain
- Strong understanding of Network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP etc
- Familiarity with principles of patch/update management
- Understanding of physical & logical network structure and network devices (switches/routers etc)
- An understanding of Information Security Frameworks such as ISO27001/Cyber essentials and risk management frameworks such as FAIR, ISO 27005, NIST SP 800-30
- Ideally a candidate with ITIL Certification and Security certification such as SSCP, Security+, CISA, CRISC, OSCP, etc.
- Experience managing and administering a SIEM solution eg LogRhythm, Bro, SIEMonster etc
