Kennedys is looking to recruit a Litigation Executive to join our expanding team in Scotland, either at our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, working on a varied caseload of motor and liability instructions.

Kennedys opened in Scotland in January 2015 with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Since then the firm has gone from strength to strength and the Liability Team in Scotland, led by Rory Jackson, now has two partners, two Senior Associates, four Associates, five paralegals and a trainee.

The successful candidate will either have experience of working within a claims environment or legal experience/legal qualifications (e.g. LLB/law graduate/accredited paralegal).  They should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, work well under pressure and be comfortable dealing with and resolving disputes.  They must be able to work on their own initiative as well as make a positive contribution to the team and its objectives.  Experience of motor claims or recoveries would be beneficial but is not essential.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to apply a commercial approach to claims in order to deliver economic solutions
  • To be proactive and take initiative
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills
  • Strong technical and research skills
  • Attention to detail.
