A leading FinTech business requires an experienced Contract Manager (Director Level) to assist the business in the development and negotiation of customer contracts. You will act as the interface between Sales and Legal to be responsible for the management of negotiations, developing and implementing negotiation strategies with contracts valued between £5m to £50m. The business is expiring substantial growth and this role will act as a fundamental contributor to commercial development and serve as primary executive contact during contract negotiations.
You will report to the SVP of sales EMEA and will essentially assist the commercial team on contracts whilst supporting the bid process, including the development of specific standards for bidding. You will provide handover of contract post-signature to relevant designated business unit contract administrator, including the provision of contract summary and other supporting documentation. This position will offer you the gravitas to develop into far more commercially astute professional as you'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team (including representatives from IT, commercial functions, finance, legal and external advisers). You will negotiate within boundaries of approved business plan/model and escalate any potential adverse financial impact on the Company as a result of change to negotiated positions. A really attractive aspect of this role requires you to have regular engagement with relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets. As this role is Director Level, you will conduct regular briefings to exec and senior management team and undertake periodic review of the contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal.
Candidates.
Must be a pragmatic individual who is comfortable to negotiate high-value deals (£10m+) and hold a bachelor's degree in business, Law Degree would be advantageous. Evidence of applying organizational standards when developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms and drafting contracts. The ideal candidate will have worked in the fintech and/or payments industry however, experience from the banking, finance, IT or telecoms industry is fine. Must be confident and have strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow. Ideally, you will be a business leader operating at C suite level where you can pragmatically make decisions under pressure. Candidates with exposure to successfully forming joint ventures and M&A would be advantageous.
