Junior/Mid-level Legal Counsel (Construction) - Property Developer - Europe's largest developer of office space, London

Client Details

Our Client is a well known property developer with offices and projects throughout Europe, including ongoing high profile developments in London.

Description

Responsibilities with this role will include drafting, negotiating and reviewing a range of construction documentation including:

  • consultants appointments
  • development contracts
  • collateral warranties
  • finance documentation.

Assisting with construction tendering processes, investigations and training and advising internal stakeholders on legal risk.

This candidate will also be expecting to be willing to get involved with more general commercial contracting and advice (including procurement) although knowledge in this area is not a pre-requisite. Enthusiasm to learn and expand ones skill set is key.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a junior to mid-level UK or common law qualified lawyer who has practiced construction law either in chambers ranked private practice law firm, or in house, within a respected in house legal team.

They will have a strong grasp of standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC3, FIDIC etc ...).

Knowledge of procurement would also be looked upon favourably.
