Manager, Financial Services (Derivatives)

A leading pioneer in the legal services industry and a global provider of technology-enabled legal solutions, is currently recruiting a full time Manager for a Global Financial Team within their Belfast office.

Your new role
You'll be a senior member of a team, dedicated to supporting our client, a leading financial services organisation, in the negotiation - from start to finish - of a range of documents including ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, Listed, OTC Clearing, Prime Brokerage and other such documents as may arise. They will be expected to act as the primary operational and technical point of contact, and to develop people through coaching and mentoring, and to help drive forward general management initiatives and improvements.
You'll manage technical and operational/workflow oversight, general initiatives and people development and identify training needs with the ability to deliver relevant training.
You'll carriage a portfolio of client negotiations and identify opportunities to improve the client's negotiation processes, procedures and general satisfaction levels.
You'll handle technical escalations, drawing on deep expertise in relevant agreement types.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll have a law degree and ideally 5 years' experience of analysing, drafting, negotiating and advising on derivatives documentation within a law firm, as part of an in-house legal team alongside client-facing experience of a financial services client base.
You'll ideally have proven strong client-facing skills and experience and good commercial awareness, working effectively with business stakeholders.
You'll be fully competent using Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Word and Excel and have excellent attention to detail alongside.
You'll ideally have previous experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
