Our renowned UK law firm is currently looking for an IT Applications Analyst to join their dynamic IT Team in their South Quays offices on a permanent basis, the main focus of the role will be to provide and outstanding application and desktop environment for the colleagues at the firm. This role will allow candidates to gain exposure to a lot of technology and also be responsible for dealing with 3rd line incidents. Main duties include Contributing to creation of support documentation, to enable “shift-left”, proactively looks for improvement areas as part of continuous improvement process, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Forsters applications and environment, provides expert advice regarding their application. Can supervise specialist consultancy, investigating problems in systems, processes and services. Assisting with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures, specifying and designing systems. Selecting appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed architectures and ensures they are applied effectively. Reviewing others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. Contributing to policy for selection of architecture components. Evaluating and undertaking impact analysis on major design options and assesses and manages associated risks. Ensuring that the system design balances functional, service quality, security and systems management requirements, managing configuration items (CIs) and related information. Investigating and implements tools, techniques and processes for managing CIs and verifies that related information is complete, current and accurate.
