Solicitor Advocate / Barrister - We have been engaged to source a solicitor with advocacy experience or a barrister with roughly 3 years or more experience to join the highly regarded insurance litigation team of this top 100 firm. Candidates should have a genuine passion for advocacy work, ideally with some experience in general insurance work such as EL/PL or Fraud or other areas such as professional indemnity.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: Ideally candidates should have 3 years of advocacy experience either as a solicitor or Barrister. Experience of general insurance litigation or other areas such as professional indemnity would be advantageous. That said, our client will consider a broad range of candidates.

GROWTH OF IN-HOUSE TEAM

In a bid to provide a complete, holistic service for clients in the insurance practice group, the litigation team of this top tier firm is looking for a solicitor advocate or Barrister to come in house and advise on a range of litigious and advisory matters.

This is an important hire in the overall growth strategy of the in-house team and the successful applicant, whilst fully supported at their own level, will also get the opportunity to mentor some of the more junior members or the team.

The aim is to build an excellent advocacy offering which will provide a seamless professional service to clients in the insurance group.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The role will involve a mixture of high-quality advocacy work together with providing detailed advisory direction to other solicitors and fee earners. This may include providing opinions, advice on particular aspects of the law as well as case strategy.

There is also an opportunity to get involved in providing real insight and guidance as the firm continues to develop software-driven products to further assist clients. The firm has a highly respected legal technology team, which works closely with solicitors throughout the practice group.

As alluded to above, there is also the chance to mentor and develop more junior members of the team.
