Our client is one of the most recognisable banking brands in the UK.
With a dynamic and market leading investment arm, they are second to none in sectors across banking and finance.
Due to the continued growth of their team and work load, there is now a need to bring on an experienced derivatives lawyer to work closely with the Head of Legal on a broad range of transactional and advisory responsibilities across the group.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, negotiating and advising around derivatives documentation
- Advising senior stakeholders and relevant business units on key regulatory issues including FCA, PRA and MiFID ii
- Liaising with external counsel and managing legal costs across the team
The successful candidate will:
- Be qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales
- Have 3 to 6 years post qualification experience
- Be trained with a reputable UK law firm or in-house legal team
- Have previous experience working within/advising a leading commercial or retail bank
- Have previous experience providing advice specifically around derivatives documentation and their accompanying regulatory frameworks.
