Data Privacy Lawyer

Data privacy specialist sought by top tier firm. To suit a data privacy lawyer 7pqe+ with a corporate background and a good understanding of the needs of in house lawyers in the banking and financial services arena. Full time preferred, however up to 3 days home working is possible.

The Role

To maintain and enhance a legal product covering data protection, bank secrecy and regulatory outsourcing rules. Day to day duties involve liaising with counsel in multiple jurisdictions, updating and commissioning legal content, liaising with key clients and supporting marketing initiatives.

Skills and Experience

This position would suit an experienced lawyer with experience of top quality work for high calibre clients (ideally in the banking and finance sector). This experience could have been gained in a leading private practice firm or in-house. You will require strong technical and drafting skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a pro-active approach. Cross border experience is of particular interest, especially in a data protection context. Although data protection is the key skill, candidates who also have a corporate, compliance or employment background are of interest.
