We are working with a Legal 500 rated law firm based outside of Birmingham city centre who are looking to add to their Corporate team with a senior hire.

Are you a mid to senior level Corporate / M&A lawyer looking for a new challenge within an established team? Are you frustrated with the number of opportunities at your level that demand you come armed with a client following on day one?

We are working with a West Midlands law firm who are looking to bring a senior Corporate Lawyer on board to work alongside the existing head of department and other transactional lawyers. The team is long established in the market and is incredibly busy on the M&A side of things and in the first instance would like to get somebody on board to assist and lead on these matters.

The firm has an excellent reputation in their local market and is a full service law firm.

The team is happy to recruit at Director level for the right person.

This is an opportunity for a Corporate Lawyer at an existing regional firm who is looking for something new or perhaps a lawyer in the Birmingham market who is looking for progression but also an achievable work/life balance. The culture in the firm means that you won't be working long hours unless you need to get a completion over the line.

The team has a number of juniors who would deal with the ancillary matters and smaller transactions, meaning that you can focus on the bigger matters and leading projects.

The department is busy so they are not fixated with a client following - although of course they would expect a senior lawyer to be well connected.


It's likely that you will have at least 5y PQE dealing with Corporate/M&A matters and you may be an existing Director/Partner or an Associate looking to make the step up.

The firm is happy to speak with candidates at local/regional firms or lawyers at larger firms looking to do something different and looking for progression.
