Law Costs Draftsman

Plexus Law have a great opportunity for a Law Costs Draftsman to join their established Insurance Litigation Practice in Leeds for a full-time, permanent role.

Responsibilities of your new role

In this Costs Draftsman role your core duties will include:

• Drafting bills
• Preparing costs budgets
• Drafting points of dispute
• Conducting negotiations
• Handling the full costs cycle with a pragmatic, commercial approach
• Attending hearings and assessments as required

Responsibilities relating to Information Security

Plexus Law Ltd takes information security very seriously. Accordingly, we expect our new Law Costs Draftsman to:

• Comply with all applicable security related policies defined by Plexus Law Ltd
• Be vigilant and report security incidents to an appropriate manager as quickly as is practicable
• Report any weaknesses they notice in the way information security is managed and if possible provide suggestions for improvement

Candidate requirements

We are looking for a good Costs all-rounder who demonstrates:

• 2+ years of relevant costs experience
• Experience dealing with the whole spectrum of costs cases, ranging from routine low value ones to complex 7 figure claims across all types of work
• Experience in paying and receiving part work, drafting bills, preparing points of dispute, conducting negotiations etc
