12 month FTC: Financial Services & Markets Paralegal at fantastic US law firm, up to £29,500

Our forward-thinking US law firm is currently looking for a Paralegal to join their Finance Services and Markets team in order to provide paralegal support to lawyers and partners within the FSM department. Candidates should be driven and ambitious and looking to get experience within a fantastic environment and great team. The main responsibilities will be performing legal research using a variety of legal research tools for case law, legislation, commentary, and practical guidance, providing assistance with conflicts checks and file opening as required, assisting with proof-reading and cross-referencing exercises in legal transaction documentation, reviewing/logging/inputting know-how documents in the FSMD intranet system (the Hub), review know how items and prepare KEAT profiles, overseeing filing of relevant know how and maintenance of KEAT library, handling chargeable work, including contacts with clients, assisting with the collation, recording and review of UK draft Brexit legislation relevant to financial services and assisting PSLs/lawyers with their reviews, assisting and overseeing junior FSMD fee earner on client work, contribute to consultation responses (e.g. to HMT, FSA, EC, ESMA etc), maintaining and updating other aspects of the intranet system. The client is looking for bright law graduate who has strong IT skills and the ability to liaise at all levels of the business. The core hours for this role are 9.30am – 5.30pm.
