Paralegal

A fantastic opportunity has urgently arisen for a German speaking Paralegal to join the market-leading International Arbitration team of a top US law firm. This is a full-time, permanent role based in London.

Responsibilities of your new role

Working as part of a team of 20 fee earners who are extremely well-respected and highly ranked in the legal directories, your core duties as Paralegal will include:

• Working for governments and high-profile corporates to handle investment treaty disputes
• Aiding clients in big-ticket commercial arbitrations, particularly in the energy, construction and financial services sectors
• Assisting on some intellectual property arbitrations
• Working on complex International Arbitration matters, both in German and English
• Running a caseload of pre-trial preparation, legal research, cite checking, working on legal submissions and attending court hearings

Candidate requirements

The firm seeks a Paralegal able to demonstrate:

• Business fluent German language skills
• Prior Commercial Litigation experience
• International Arbitration experience is beneficial, but those with more general dispute resolution experience are also encouraged to apply

Salary

As this US law firm don’t have trainees in their London office, this Paralegal role offers the exciting opportunity to do trainee level work. The salary is reflective of this – the highest in the market at £38,000 per annum plus overtime.
