Legal Counsel

An entrepreneurial company based in Central London are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their in-house team for a full-time, permanent role working closely with the Business Development Director to help the company achieve their ambitions.

Responsibilities of your new role

Reporting to the head of Legal, your core responsibilities as In-House Counsel will include:

• Working on complex, international joint venture and global M&A transactions
• Drafting and negotiating equity documents for investment rounds in companies, specifically in the EdTech space
• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of a wide variety of corporate and commercial contracts
• Working on key projects for the company and negotiation of key terms
• Advising on various legal issues arising in the day-to-day business functions of the Company and its philanthropic foundation

Candidate requirements

The successful Legal Counsel will demonstrate:

• At least 18 months of corporate M&A experience
• Good understanding of and interest in tech is desirable
• Strong experience of drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and documents
• Sound interpersonal and communications skills
