A Legal 100 national law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate to join their central Sheffield office on a permanent, full time basis.
Role Description
The successful Associate will join the Local Authority team in the Liability Division. The team’s clients are predominantly local authorities and insurers/claims handlers. Cases will include:
- Catastrophic Claims
- General Liability
- Motor Liability
- EL/PL
- Motor criminal/inquest work
Key duties will include:
- Court attendance
- Document consideration
- Document drafting
- Client contact
- Conducting proactive litigation
- Assisting senior members of the team in relation to both fast-track and multi-track matters
Candidate Requirements
The successful lawyer will ideally have:
- 1-3 years’ PQE
- The ability to run their own caseload with minimal supervision
- Wide ranging defendant PI experience (claimant candidates also considered)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent drafting skills with a good attention to detail
- The ability to work well within an innovative, collaborative team
