I am currently recruiting for a friendly, thriving firm of solicitors based in Southgate, North London, who due to continued growth are now looking for a Legal Administrator to join their team on a permanent full time basis.

The successful administrator will be doing the following duties:

• Keep Office Manual up to date, including templates, procedures, guides and index.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and supervision
• Assist with the Lettings/Sales department administration and supervision of staff.
• Making a note of staff holidays and days sick and ensuring the record is accurate.
• Supervising and overseeing the reception duties and ensure all calls are answered in a timely and efficient way.
• Encouraging staff to get client feedback and reviewing responses.
• Co-ordinate installation of software and check and maintain office equipment.
• Carry out file independent file reviews on a monthly basis in line with office procedure and Lexcel practise management standards (“Lexcel”)
• Making sure fee earners carry out regular file reviews
• To minimise and manage complaints by regular reviews of files and matter balance reports.
• Train and supervise staff in carrying out their work to meet Practice Management Standards including Lexcel, WIQS and CQS
• Handling client complaints as the firm’s Complaints Officer

Required Skills & Experience:

• Excellent time management
• Minimum 5 GCSE’s (must include Math and English)
• Minimum of 2-years office admin experience
• Some legal sector knowledge (Desirable)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems; MS Word (essential); MS Excel (essential); MS Outlook (essential)
