We are looking for a Partner to lead the team within this Legal-500 award winning firm based in York City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who feels that they can bring the required technical knowledge and experience alongside excellent communication skills, strong leadership ability, and the ability to realise and drive the growth of the firm further.
As a Corporate Partner you will be leading an established team and will play a pivotal role in further developing the firm's corporate offering and presence within the York and wider region market. The successful candidate will be extremely ambitious, demonstrating the ability and welcoming the challenge of growing the corporate team significantly over the next few up coming years!
The role requires a strategic thinker who can proactively support with the marketing and business development of the team, in order to continue to expand the firm's client base. If this role is a step up in responsibility, don't worry, our client offers a first-rate training and development programme to help employees work on their management and development skills; focusing on finance, client skills and strategy.
Ideally you should have extensive experience acting and advising in the full spectrum of transactional and corporate advisory work including shareholder agreements, articles of association, share incentive schemes and general corporate governance issues. You must also be comfortable dealing with people of all levels, from small businesses to large corporate entities. Because of the nature of this role the client has also specified that candidates must have a proven track record of acting for clients with a turnover of up to £50m.
Whilst it is not essential that you have a client following it is critical that you can demonstrate the aptitude and capability to develop work and a broad range of clients in varying sectors such as media, retail, leisure and manufacturing. Furthermore, if you are a Senior Associate, don't let this hold you back. Our client is happy to consider Senior Associates who have experience of leading others and have actively undertaken successful BD activities helping to grow their firms in their previous roles.
This role would really suit someone who either can't see the clarity of opportunity ahead of them at the moment and feels like they are ready to step up. This opportunity could truly offer some great career prospects with the potential of growing into a Head of Corporate role if the successful candidate proves capable.
In terms of remuneration, this will very much depend upon the level of experience that you are bringing with you and also your track record of developing work. Whilst they don't need someone to bring a following this could also impact on the available budget.
