Litigation locum lawyer is required to join a Local Authority based in East Anglia to join a friendly and well regarded team for an initial 3 months period with the view of extension thereafter.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in both criminal and civil litigation matters.

As a Litigation Lawyer, you will handle a diverse caseload which will include:

  • Prosecutions, licensing and ASBO's in the criminal element
  • Housing law matters to include possession proceedings, disrepair, JR and homelessness applications
  • Environmental prosecutions to include littering, fly posting, fly tipping and abandoned cars
  • Attending County court and Magistrates court on such matters

They offer flexible working hours and ability to work from home most days of the week, however must attend court on Tuesdays which will allow flexibility for those that need to work around other commitments.

The client is keen to hear from applicants who have previous local government experience, while those from a private practise background with sound knowledge of government processes will be considered.
