An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a friendly local authority based in the East Midlands. Our client is offering flexibility with remote working.

The successful Contracts Solicitor will undertake a mixed commercial caseload, including, but not exclusive to:

  • Contract disputes
  • Breach of contract
  • Data protection breaches
  • Commercial litigation

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer and will have previous contracts experience, this includes:

  • Recent in depth knowledge of commercial and contract and public procurement law, practice and procedure at an advanced level
  • Drafting experience of variety of contracts including NECs, JCTs, ICT contracts, frameworks and consultancy contracts.
  • Advising on company law, state aid, consultation duties and trading powers
  • Experience of undertaking contract work within a local government environment

This position will initially begin on a 3 month basis, but could potentially turn into a long-term assignment.
