Your new company
A leading international media, entertainment and advertising organisation in West London, with household brand recognition and an exceptional consumer following. The company has a sizeable and well-respected internal legal function that is constantly working collectively on exciting developments, products and services and tackling the inevitable consumer challenges that come with such progress. The organisation and in particular the legal function, has embraced a flexible working culture, with employee happiness and productivity at the core of its ethos.
Your new role
A Senior Legal Counsel role within the company's Consumer legal team, reporting to Head of the team, as part of a team of 10 lawyers. You will work closely with the business to advise on implementation of new and existing product and advertising campaigns, considering consumer rights, contracts and the customer proposition. You will provide valuable strategic counsel on managing risk and ensuring compliance with the likes of OfCom, Advertising Standards Agency and other regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you will provide know-how in looking outside the box at making the department as efficient as possible, and you will also take on the management of some of the junior lawyers in the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified lawyer, not restricted to UK qualification but ideally with significant UK based experience. You must have demonstrable experience with consumer legal matters, including exposure to advertising standards, unfair contract terms and ideally subscription orientated product matters. You may have had sustained interaction with external regulatory entities including the ASA, CMA and Ofcom, and you will have proven in-house experience within subscription related industries such as television, telecoms and utilities. While people management experience is welcomed, it is not necessary.
What you'll get in return
You will work with a globally recognised household media and entertainment brand, tacking business critical consumer issues, that will continually help to define the company's status as one of the truly leading organisations in its market. You will benefit from high-quality work, a flexible working culture, an exceptional work campus and continual career development options. The fantastic package includes a generous performance-related bonus, car allowance, pension, private medical cover and numerous other comprehensive benefits.
