About the Firm
My client is a highly regarded name within the renewable energy space, having advised on high-profile, high-value deals for the last 20 years. A full service, 40-member practice, they advise on all aspects of renewable energy, from solar, wind and hydropower, to more recent advents such as electric vehicles, related charging infrastructure and battery storage solutions. In 2018, they were in the top 5 advisors to the renewable energy sector globally and advised on deals worth nearly £600m.
Their clients are wide ranging and diverse, and cover the full sector, from well-known utilities to high-growth investment companies seeking to break into the renewable energy market. They also advise governmental departments on all elements of renewable energy projects.
My client is firmly positioned in growth mode and are aggressively expanding their renewable energy practice. Having seen revenue increase by 60% over the last 5 years, including double digit revenue growth for the last 3 years, they seek to continue this expansion with a number of key hires into their team.
The Role
My client seeks to hire associates across the full practice area, including Real Estate, Planning, Construction, Regulatory, Banking & Finance, Corporate, M&A, Technology, and IP. They are keen to hire into all of their UK offices, and so applicants from London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast are welcome. The following experience is required:
- Qualified solicitors at 2-10 PQE
- Proven track record in at least 1 of the renewable energy fields above
- Exceptional commercial acumen
- An enthusiasm for renewable energy and a desire to practice extensively in this area
