Kennedys is looking for an Insurance Litigation Associate to join its highly regarded Insurance Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to join this award-winning firm “Insurance Firm of the Year” (The Legal 500 UK Awards 2018).

The role will include handling high value coverage disputes for financial institutions, directors and officers (D&O), political risks and crime coverage, as well as offering clear written advice to our clients.

Our recognised team of dedicated insurance and reinsurance lawyers handle a vast range of insurance disputes and litigation. Our clients include general insurers and reinsurers, global composites, Lloyd’s syndicates, self-insured PLCs and self-insuring government bodies. Our focus on the insurance industry means we really understand the legal, commercial and regulatory issues our clients face.

Qualifications:

  • UK Qualified Solicitor, Foreign Qualified or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience.
  • Strong Academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent.

Experience: 

  • Insurance litigation experience is essential 
  • Coverage insurance litigation and arbitration experience
  • Financial Institutions, D&O, Political Risks and Crime coverage experience is preferable, but not essential
  • Advisory experience – providing clear, concise advice to clients.
