We are looking for a Claims Handler/Paralegal to work in Orpington as a part of this Law Firms Litigation Team. It is full time, and will be paying between £18,000 and £25,000 dependent on experience.
The firm place their clients and staff at the heart of what they do. They are a vibrant law firm based in Orpington who strive to achieve a family ethos. They value their staff greatly and are proud of the collaborative manner in which they work. As a relatively young firm they have an ambitious, forward looking senior management team that are building and sustaining a well managed and profitable business model that has expanded year on year since first being established in 2014.
The Role:
An enthusiastic individual is required to work closely with a large motor insurer.
You will be responsible for running your own litigated caseload whilst working with a busy team. You will need to be organised and dedicated to enable you to stick to a strict court table.
You will receive new claims from their insurer client which relate to road traffic accidents with the aim of recovering the insurers money back from the at fault party. You will issue court proceedings, review Defences, draft Witness Statements and book and brief Counsel. In order to be successful in recovering this money you will be required to investigate the claim, access liability, obtain supporting evidence, liaise with policyholders, brokers, insurers and solicitors.
Previous experience in Litigation Claims Handling/Paralegal work is extremely beneficial, preferably within motor traffic accidents.
If this sounds like an opportunity for you, please get in touch and I would be keen to have a discussion.
