A well-known consumer goods company, located in Newcastle, are currently looking for a commercial lawyer with compliance experience to join the team. The role will initially be for 6 months with the potential to become permanent.
This in-house counsel position is a new opportunity within the legal team, reporting into the General Counsel, and will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to shape the role. You will be responsible for drafting compliance policies and communicating these within the wider business. You will also have opportunities to visit partnerships and become an integral part of the business.
In-house legal experience in a commercial role is essential for this position and exposure to compliance work such as GDPR and anti-money laundering will be highly advantageous.
