Our client, a local authority based in the North East, is seeking a Criminal Litigation Lawyer to join their friendly team. They will consider candidates who are seeking either full-time or part-time employment.

The successful Criminal Litigation Lawyer will take on a caseload of varied litigation matters, which may include;

  • Dealing with a caseload of criminal litigation matters in the Magistrates and Crown Court
  • Preparing and serving necessary papers on behalf of the council
  • Drafting Statutory Notices and Agreements across all legal services functions, which may include Litigation, Housing, Regulatory, Property and Planning functions
  • Acting as the Council's advocate in respect of criminal and civil proceedings across a range of regulatory functions, and in respect of other tribunal and inquires proceedings
  • Carrying out legal research as required

The ideal candidate will have experience in local government licensing and regulatory matters. This role is to start immediately.
