The Editorial Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the legal content for CCAS' portfolio of products, in particular for the multi-jurisdictional survey product line. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying legal content required for the CCAS products, balancing customer needs and wishes with CCAS’s need to return a profit;
  • Creating and executing strategies and plans for content acquisition, publication, maintenance and curation;
  • Editing the content for online publication and SEO, including application of metadata;
  • Managing relationships with contributors and the costs of acquisition and editing;
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against relevant plan:
  • Developing and maintaining Editorial best practice. Including developing a CCAS style guide and ensuring it is followed;
  • Advocating for CCAS and the Editorial Project Manager role, in particular with key stakeholders;
  • Optimising all content management processes. This will include:
  • People aspects: working with others, to ensure that projects are always adequately and appropriately resourced, taking in to account business as usual activities;
  • Process aspects: identifying improvements to processes and implementing those improvements; and 
  • Technology aspects: working with the technology team to identify and implement relevant tools and systems.

Experience:

  • Significant experience of acquiring and editing complex legal content from several different jurisdictions for online publication across different products.
  • Experience of working with a digital content management system.
  • Experience of creating and rolling out Editorial best practice and style guides.
  • Experience of working on digital product development projects.

Skills:

  • Editing and sub-editing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Ability to absorb, understand and explain complex issues clearly and concisely both in writing and orally.
