EU Lawyer required to join the Government Legal Department for a minimum of 12 months, working in the EU and International Affairs Team. The qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent) will be working in a busy team that advises on a wide range of EU and international law matters, both contentious and non-contentious. The successful candidate will work within a mini-team which deals with migrant access to benefits, DWP's interest in a compensation scheme and international law matters. The EU Lawyer can expect to get involved with litigation and general advisory work; a good working knowledge of EU law and experience in a public law role would be preferable.

- Advise on a wide range of EU and international law matters
- Support a range of work in a team dealing with public law matters

- Dealing with senior stakeholders
- Acting as a legal advisor
Required skills and experience of the EU Lawyer
- Qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent)
- Public law experience
- Working knowledge of EU law is preferable
