An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a bright and ambitious banking lawyer to move into this leading UK blue chip. This corporate has a large, well established legal team that has a specialist finance legal function.
Reporting in to the Finance Senior Counsel you will be leading the development and implementation of the Finance legal policy across the company and all aspects of treasury work. Key responsibilities will include:
- Securitisation, debt capital markets, ISDA and loans
- Advising on regulatory matters and working on ad hoc matters with audit and IR
- Developing strategies and policies to control legal and regulatory risk
- Managing finance legal compliance
The individual must have trained at a magic circle or US firm and have a background in general banking, securitisation and/or debt capital markets, with a minimum of 1 year PQE. You will have trained at a top tier law firm and possess a strong academic track record. The individual must be engaging and business-driven, with the ability to work with people across all levels. Experience of treasury is high desirable for this role.
