A growing international agribusiness London based holding company is looking for a Paralegal / Legal Advisor to join the team on a permanent contract.
Description
- Working directly with the General Counsel you will be able to take on as much responsibility as you wish. They are looking for an accomplished person who has experience of working in-house, or who has worked in Private practice within Corporate/Commercial law with exposure to drafting NDAs, SPAs, shareholder agreements and related documentation.
- Research and advise on legal issues, risks and recommended solutions as required and under the supervision of the GC.
- If you have transactional support experience of preparing board papers, or helping to create Data Rooms, this would be advantageous.
- Admin support in keeping corporate books and general corporate secretarial work in regards to the company's statutory documents and its subsidiaries.
- Admin support for the preparation of board meetings and supporting documents as well as the drafting and formalisation of resolutions.
- Admin support in all matters related to corporate compliance work
- Help develop contract templates, playbooks and other tools for use by the team.
- Remain up-to-date on legal and other relevant developments.
- Legal research - using legal databases and text books to obtain case law, articles, background, etc.
Profile
- A minimum of 3 years' independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm or as part of an in-house legal team.
- Daily senior management facing experience.
- Law degree and/or legally qualified, or foreign qualified lawyer.
- Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
- Additional language skills would be an advantage.
