Locum Childcare Paralegal

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Childcare Paralegal to join the legal team of an established Local Authority in Hertfordshire. The duration of the contract is likely to be for 3 months with the possibility of extension and is offered on a full time basis.

The duties on a day-to-day basis are as follows:

• Drafting documents including: Part 25 Applications, letters before proceedings, briefs to counsel, and letters of instruction to experts
• Liaising with the client department to ensure progress is achieved in a timely manner;
• Obtaining costs estimates and availability of expert witnesses;
• Gathering evidence and documentation including taking witness statements from lay witnesses;

The ideal candidate would need to have experience in drafting C110A's, case summaries, Draft Orders and Letters of instruction.

This role will pay up to £25 per hour which will be completely dependent on experience.
