The firm

BCL Legal are delighted to be assisting this up and coming challenger firm in Birmingham with the key recruitment of a senior corporate lawyer to lead and develop the already established corporate offering.
With a profitable business model and established business, property and private client practice groups, this is a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and strategic corporate solicitor looking for a senior role with huge potential for development and growth.

The team

Currently working for a good mix of SMEs, OMEs, PLCs and large corporate clients from a range of sectors (including; manufacturing, new technologies and engineering), the team are proud of their established and loyal client base but are also continuing to win work from new clients as their reputation and Legal 500 ranking continues to rise. Day to day work includes;

M&A
share transactions
reorganisations
joint ventures and restructuring
refinancing

The role

The opportunity to lead and development an already established corporate team with the full backing and support of the partners in situ.
Candidates with a client following and/or specialist in private equity, mergers & acquisitions or reorganisations will be of particular interest.

As a new partner within the firm, the successful candidate will have immediate input into the future development of the team and firm and will be introduced as a key point of contact for new and existing clients.

The candidate

This Corporate role would suit a Birmingham based senior corporate solicitor or re-locator with significant corporate experience who is looking for an new challenge and the opportunity to have a genuine impact at partner level within an established law firm with an exciting future ahead. The successful candidate will be well connected, ambitious, and keen to service their clients in a commercial and transparent manner.

The ideal candidate will be a personable, bright and decisive senior corporate solicitor. They will have gained experience at a highly regarded practice and feel comfortable leading on large and varied corporate transactions as well as managing a team.
The candidate will also demonstrate strong business development skills, have a clear plan for developing their own team and the strength of character to interact effectively with colleagues and clients at every level.
